Pretty Black represents a portion of my personal ministry. This “name” was given to me as a teenager at a time when I exhibited low self-esteem. A cousin called out to me one day, “Pretty! Pretty Black! Oh, she’s so pretty!” He was standing next to his brother who affirmed the gesture. What they didn’t know was, though I was dressed fashionably and headed out, I was not having a good day. But from that day forward, I began to walk with a bit more confidence, persuaded that I was beautiful in God’s eyes.
Did I make mistakes? Of course, I did. But I also began to understand the gifts within me and my purpose for life. One of my life’s goals is helping young ladies to avoid negative experiences and/or to take any of those experiences and use them as steppingstones into their destiny. Pretty Black, represents girls and women of all ages who may feel that same sense of self-worth, the lack thereof or the confidence within.

- Men’s Collection: Men Who Love Pretty Black, represents gentlemen that recognize and appreciate the inward and outward character, charm, spirit, spunk, wit . . . everything that encompasses her beauty. This reality encourages him to embrace all that she represents.
- Children’s Collection: Kids Who Love Pretty Black, are simply the children (infants through teens) related in some way to those beautiful women. They love their mom, sister, cousin, aunt, grandmother, great-grandmother, or godmother; and they will be taught to appreciate and embrace everything that she represents.
